“كنت أحسب أنّ رحلتي قد شارفت نهايتها، حين توصّلت إلى الحدّ الأقصى من سلطاني. وأنّ الدّرب الممتدّة أمامي قد سدّت، وأنّ ذخيرتي قد نفذت، وأنّ الزّمن قد أتى ليضيء إلى ظلام صامت. بيد أنّي اكتشفت أنّ إرادتك لا تعرف نهاية في نفسي. وحين تذوب الكلمات القديمة في اللّسان، فإنّ أغنيات جديدة تنفجر في القلب. وحيث تمحى آثار الأقدام القديمة، فإنّ أرضا جديدة تتراءى بمعجزاتها الرّائعة.” (رابندرانات طاغور)
